This Cookie Policy explains how ReGains ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://regains.fit. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and browser storage used by our authentication provider to keep you signed in.
2. How we use them
We use cookies and storage mainly to run the Service, keep you logged in, remember preferences, and process payments. We do not use advertising or third-party marketing trackers on the main application.
3. Strictly necessary
These are required for the Service to work. Without them, you cannot sign in or use core features.
- Authentication — our identity provider stores session tokens in your browser (including IndexedDB) so you stay signed in securely
- API security — your session is sent with requests to our servers while you use the app
- Staging access only — on our test environment (test.regains.fit), a short-lived cookie may protect preview access; this does not apply to the public production site
4. Functional storage (local and session)
We store information on your device to improve your experience. You can clear these through your browser settings, but some preferences may reset:
- Workout in progress — so you can resume an active session
- Unit preference (metric or imperial)
- Notification read/dismissed state and onboarding progress
- Chat read position and trainer client view timestamps
- Temporary registration data during sign-up or payment checkout (session storage, cleared after completion)
- Demo or training-mode flags for trainers
5. Third-party cookies
When you use certain features, third parties may set their own cookies:
- Stripe — when you subscribe or pay, Stripe may set cookies to prevent fraud and complete checkout (see Stripe's privacy policy)
- Google — if you choose "Sign in with Google", Google may set cookies as part of authentication
We do not currently enable analytics cookies in the application. Online presence uses our own realtime connection, not Firebase Realtime Database. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are placed.
6. Managing cookies
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies
- Sign out — clears your active session from the device
- Clear site data — removes local storage for regains.fit in your browser
Blocking strictly necessary cookies or authentication storage will prevent you from using the Service.
